Job Title: Telephone Debt Collector / Credit Controller

Salary: £20k - £25k p.a.

Based in Kent 

Salary £20k - £25K dependant on experience

 

Job Purpose: To maximise cash collections through the use of both inbound and pro-active outbound telephone calls.  
Key Responsibilities: Negotiate early repayment of debt and update debtor management system 
Obtain full details of any dispute and fast-track to client and/or client service as required
Maintain diary notes, debt status codes, agreement functionality and workflows in accordance with procedures
Telephone number searches
Trace investigations
Adhoc duties as and when required
Candidate Profile – Core Competencies, Skills & Knowledge Requirements
A proven track record in a consumer collections role with an understanding of FCA and TCF guidelines. Must be able to clearly demonstrate the presence of core competencies with regards to: Effective communication, influencing & negotiating skills, rapport building and client service delivery. 
The ideal candidate will be results driven with key focus on achievement, quality, continuous improvement and an excellent team player.
With specific regard to some of these competencies and in addition, the Consumer Collector must be articulate, literate & numerate with excellent keyboard skills. A flexible approach is essential as additional / amended hours may be required to meet the business needs.
Personal Attributes: Strong commitment to the ethos of STA International.

Excellent attendance and time keeping record.
